What is the PAIF? (Pre-Award Intake Form)
Use the PAIF to electronically submit requests (proposals/awards/agreements) to the Office of Sponsored Programs—streamlining submission and reducing an expensive reliance on paper. This more efficient submission process allows you to enter all information about a transaction in one place. When the form is submitted, an email will be generated and sent to the requestor, PI, OSP, and any additional email addresses you have entered.
This new system also provides electronic routing for approvals from Principal Investigators on SUBAWARD and RE-GRANT request types—requiring PI action before these two transaction types are routed for additional processing. The PAIF does NOT replace the Proposal Transmittal Form (PTF)—the PTF will be replaced by the Proposal Intake Form (PIF) (NOTE: if you are unable to sign this form or edit fields in your browser, please download). For more information on the PIF and when it is needed, visit the OSP Systems Transition page.
(Please Note: a proposal submitted through the PAIF system will also require you complete a Proposal Intake Form (PIF) (NOTE: if you are unable to sign this form or edit fields in your browser, please download))
