My anticipation request was rejected. Why?

SPA will send a follow up email if an anticipation request has been rejected to indicate the reason and the necessary follow up action. Below are the most common reasons anticipation requests are rejected: 

• Authorized Signatory/PI are the same person 

• Amount requested is greater than the 90-day prorated anticipated award amount – for example, a 1 year, $100k award, would be $25k. 

• Request submitted using prior year’s Proposal Reference Number/Grant Code when a new proposal and award is expected.
