When utilizing the draft materials option, what can be considered as draft materials?
Answer
SPA will accept a draft statement of work/project description. The final version must be submitted to SPA no later than 9 business hours before the sponsor’s deadline. Draft materials may only include the project summary, project description and references cited. However, appendices following the project description (such as data management plan, biographical sketches/CVs, mentoring plans, etc.) must be final and are not considered part of the draft materials.
Proposal sponsor examples:
NIH proposal –Introduction to Application (Resubmission and Revisions applications), specific aims, research strategy, and bibliography
NSF proposal – project summary, project description, references cited
Grants.gov proposal submission – proposal summary/abstract and project narrative
