myProposals Online Proposal Routing and Approval: Campus-wide Launch Dec. 5th, 2018

Sponsored Programs Administration is pleased to announce the official launch of myProposals for online proposal routing and approval, scheduled to go live campus-wide on Wednesday, Dec. 5th, 2018. The new system will enable researchers to quickly and easily review and approve their proposals online and provide submission information to SPA in a fully electronic format, replacing the current “Proposal Intake Form (PIF)” and proposal submission e-Form. As of Dec. 5th, the Proposal Intake Form (PIF) will no longer be available—all proposals must be submitted to SPA via the new system. If you have already obtained signatures for an upcoming submission using the PIF, you may still submit using the proposal submission e-Form through the end of December. As of January 2nd, 2019 the proposal submission e-Form will be retired. The Pre-Award Intake Form (PAIF), which was replaced by submission specific e-Forms this past September, will be formally retired with the launch of myProposals on Dec. 5th.

In preparation for go-live, we will conduct training sessions beginning Wednesday, Nov. 28th and running through Friday, Dec. 7th. Each session will last approximately 2.5 hours and will be held either in a computer lab at 111 E. Green Street, or in the SPA Training Conference Room at 1901 S. First Street.

The training course is designed for users responsible for building proposals and obtaining signatures—typically unit business managers. While investigators are welcome to attend, more concise training materials geared specifically towards proposal approvers (investigators, unit heads, deans, etc.) are available on the START myResearch Help page.  We will contact campus unit heads and faculty separately with an abbreviated message regarding this transition.

In order to register for a training session, please visit the START Course Registration page, where you will find available dates, times, and locations. Please make every effort to attend a training session prior to go-live.
