• Step 1: Review the documents related to the funding, the FAQs and the Gift vs.

• Step 1: Log into Service Rate Database at the following: https://servicerates.research.illinois.edu/
• Step 2: Create Fund Code under “My Funds” tab.
• Step 3: Add rates for each Fund under the “My Rates” tab by selecting the “+” icon on top right.
• Step 4: Alternatively, if adding multiple Funds and/or rates, use the “Add Batch” tab and download template.

• Step 1: If the sponsor or SPA Award Negotiator notifies you that your contract needs a SBSP, review your contract to understand the reporting requirements (i.e. FAR 52.219-8 and 52.219-9). SPA will assist when it is time to report.
• Step 2: Develop your SBSP. The Award Negotiator will obtain a SBSP template for you from the sponsor.
